History

The law college was established on 17 June 1935 and is one among the few old law colleges established prior to Indian Independence. It was earlier affiliated to the University of Bombay, and later on with the Gujarat University, the College now stands permanently affiliated to the South Gujarat University, (now called the Veer Narmad South Gujarat University). The College is recognized by the Bar Council of India, the University Grants Commission and the Government of Gujarat.
